Terms of Service

These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the 3Min API service (hereinafter "Service") operated by Maverick Works (hereinafter "Company"), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users.


Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms aim to define the conditions and procedures for using the API relay service provided by the Company, the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users, and other necessary matters.


Article 2 (Definitions)

The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:

  1. "Service": 3Min API and all related features provided by the Company
  2. "User": A person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service
  3. "Account": Unique identification information created by a user to use the Service
  4. "API Endpoint": An API receiving address created by a user
  5. "API Key": A unique string for endpoint authentication
  6. "Sandbox": Development environment for testing purposes
  7. "Production": Live service operation environment
  8. "Webhook": An automatic notification sent to a specified URL upon API call processing completion

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective by posting on the Service screen or by notifying users through other means.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms as necessary within the scope not violating applicable laws.
  3. When amending the Terms, the effective date and reasons for amendment shall be announced at least 7 days in advance. For changes unfavorable to users, 30 days advance notice shall be provided.
  4. Users who do not agree to amended Terms may discontinue service use and withdraw. If no objection is expressed by the effective date after announcement, users are deemed to have agreed to the changes.

Article 4 (Service Description)

The services provided by the Company are as follows:

  1. API Endpoint Creation and Management: Creation of custom API receiving addresses
  2. Data Reception and Storage: Reception and storage of API call data in JSON format
  3. Webhook Delivery: Automatic data delivery to configured URLs
  4. Dashboard: API log viewing, usage statistics, settings management, archive data download
  5. Sandbox/Production Environment Separation: Separate operation of test and live service environments

Article 5 (Membership Registration)

  1. Users apply for membership by filling in the required information in the registration form provided by the Company and agreeing to these Terms.
  2. The Company may refuse membership registration in the following cases:
    • Using another person's information
    • Providing false information
    • Previously suspended or terminated for violating these Terms
    • Not meeting other usage requirements set by the Company
  3. Membership registration is established when the Company's acceptance reaches the user.

Article 6 (Account and Security)

  1. Users are responsible for managing their account information.
  2. Users must immediately notify the Company if they become aware of unauthorized use of their account or API keys.
  3. If API key exposure is suspected, users must immediately regenerate their API keys.
  4. The Company is not responsible for API key leakage or resulting damages due to user negligence.

Article 7 (Service Usage)

7.1 Permitted Use

Users may use the Service for the following purposes:

  • Receiving and storing API data for legitimate business purposes
  • Lawful data processing and delivery
  • API calls according to methods specified in service documentation

7.2 Prohibited Use

Users shall not engage in the following:

  1. Illegal Use
    • Collecting, storing, or transmitting data in violation of laws
    • Unauthorized collection or processing of others' personal information
    • Distribution of illegal content
  2. Service Abuse
    • Interfering with normal service operation
    • Interfering with other users' service use
    • Exploiting service vulnerabilities or breaching security
    • Abnormal mass requests using automated scripts
  3. Spam and Abuse
    • Mass sending of spam messages or advertising content
    • Phishing, fraud, or deceptive activities
    • Malware distribution
  4. Intellectual Property Infringement
    • Infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
    • Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of the Service

Article 8 (Fees and Payment)

8.2 Payment Terms

  1. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance.
  2. Payments are processed through Paddle, supporting credit cards and PayPal.
  3. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled.

8.3 Plan Changes

  1. Upgrade: Applied immediately, with the prorated difference charged immediately.
  2. Downgrade: Applied immediately, with credits issued for the remaining period. Downgrades are limited to once per billing cycle, and may be restricted if current usage exceeds the new plan's limits.

8.4 Refund Policy

  1. Refundable: Full refund if within 30 days of payment and service has not been used
  2. Non-refundable: After 30 days from payment or if there is any service usage history

Note: "Service usage" means performing at least one API call in either Sandbox or Production environment.

Even when refund is not available, the service may continue to be used until the end of the paid period.

8.5 Non-payment

  1. In case of payment failure, the Company will notify by email, and service may be restricted if payment is not completed within a specified period.
  2. The Company is not responsible for service interruption due to non-payment.

Article 9 (Usage Limits)

  1. When monthly API call limits are exceeded for each plan:
    • Free/Basic/Pro: Warning notification followed by API call blocking
    • Enterprise: Overage charges of $1/2,000 calls (users are responsible for monitoring and managing their own usage)
  2. Usage notifications are sent by email at 80% and 100% thresholds.
  3. There are no per-second request limits, but abnormal mass requests may be restricted for security reasons.

Article 10 (Intellectual Property)

10.1 Service Ownership

  1. Intellectual property rights in the Service and related software, design, and documentation belong to the Company.
  2. Users are only granted the right to use the Service and do not acquire intellectual property rights.

10.2 User Data Ownership

  1. Ownership of data collected and stored by users through the Service belongs to the users.
  2. The Company processes user data only for service provision purposes and does not provide it to third parties without user consent.

Article 11 (Service Modification and Suspension)

11.1 Service Modification

  1. The Company may add, change, or remove features to improve the Service.
  2. Important changes will be announced at least 7 days in advance.

11.2 Service Suspension

  1. The Company may temporarily suspend the Service in the following cases:
    • System maintenance, upgrades, or replacement
    • Force majeure such as natural disasters or national emergencies
    • Service provider failures
  2. Planned service suspensions will be announced in advance.

11.3 Service Termination

  1. The Company may terminate the Service for business reasons.
  2. In case of service termination, users will be notified at least 30 days in advance, and paid users will receive refunds for the remaining period.

Article 12 (Contract Termination)

12.1 Termination by User

  1. Users may terminate service use at any time through the dashboard or email.
  2. Upon subscription cancellation, the service may be used until the end of the current billing period.
  3. Upon account deletion, all data is immediately deleted and cannot be recovered.

12.2 Termination by Company

The Company may terminate the contract after prior notice to users in the following cases:

  1. Violation of these Terms
  2. Interference with normal service operation
  3. Use of the Service for illegal purposes
  4. Non-use of the Service for more than 12 months (after prior notice)

In urgent cases, the Company may suspend service use without prior notice and notify afterward.


Article 13 (Limitation of Liability)

13.1 Service Warranty Limitation

  1. The Service is provided "AS IS," and the Company does not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service.
  2. The Company limits its liability for service interruption, errors, or data loss to the extent permitted by law.

13.2 Damages Limitation

  1. Unless due to intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Company, the Company's liability for damages is limited to the amount paid by the user for service use in the preceding 12 months.
  2. The Company is not liable for indirect damages, special damages, consequential damages, or lost profits.

13.3 Disclaimer

The Company is not liable in the following cases:

  1. Service failure or data loss due to user's fault
  2. Disputes between users or between users and third parties
  3. Damages occurring during use of free services
  4. Service interruption due to force majeure such as natural disasters, war, or terrorism

Article 14 (Privacy Protection)

  1. The Company protects users' personal information in accordance with applicable laws.
  2. Matters concerning the collection, use, and retention of personal information are governed by a separate Privacy Policy.

Article 15 (Dispute Resolution)

15.1 Governing Law

The laws of the Republic of Korea shall govern the interpretation and application of these Terms.

15.2 Jurisdiction

Courts of the Republic of Korea shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising between the Company and users in connection with these Terms.

15.3 Dispute Mediation

  1. In case of disputes between the Company and users, resolution through consultation shall be attempted first.
  2. If consultation is not reached, mediation may be requested through the Korea Internet & Security Agency or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee.

Article 16 (Miscellaneous)

16.1 Partial Invalidity

If any provision of these Terms is invalid, it shall not affect the validity of other provisions.

16.2 Non-waiver

Failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right.

16.3 Non-assignment

Users may not assign rights or obligations under these Terms to third parties without the Company's prior written consent.
